Question What's the hiss, hiss, history of this

Guys, I need some history on this fuel pump. If anybody knows what this came on or the name of it so I can research it I would appreciate it. I recently acquired a tri-power for my '50 Merc engine and can't find this anywhere on the net. I will try to attach pics, but beware I'm definitely not a tech wizard.DSC_0798.jpg

It is a double action fuel pump. Fuel pump on one end and a vacuum booster pump on the other.

What 40cpe said. It looks just like the one on my stock '51Merc. double action fuel pump, used to help the wipers from completely stopping when the accelerator is pushed down when accelerating or going up a hill.

And another look alike. Probably not its on my truck with a 337. You need a pot of
gold for one= so 6vt electric Napa pump end of story.

Yep a garden variety dual action pump. Be wary of the off shore versions ( in my experience) rubber valves not so good. 337 Linc and big Ford trucks attach these
pumps with 3/8 dia fasteners, Ford and Merc use 5/16 fasteners. There are various versions with different inlet and outlet threads and locations , ditto for the vacuum
portion. Parts get so easily mixed.

Sort of looks like a Blackstone dual action pump, but I do not have mine in hand to compare. Incidentally mine is, I believe, NOS. For early V8 and is for sale if anyone is interested.

Thanks guys you made my dahttp://this Py. Never saw one before. Makes a lot of sense though! By the way it is original. Has the good ole MADE IN THE USA on fuel pump side and AC on the vac side. By the way, what do you all thin the whole setup would be worth? Offenhauser manifold, 3 Holley Demon carbs, Speedway aluminum linkage, and the dual action go fuel pump. Dont know how to put pics on a Quick Reply. Thanks a million my friends.
