Looking for some photos of the trunk cardboard for a 1940 Ford Deluxe Tudor.

Please post if you can help.

At one time you could get the correct pebble grained cardboard precut for the trunk. Is that still available and where? I want a set for my 40 along with a correct set of cowl/kick panels with the vertical ribs for a Deluxe.

Alan,
I have never in the past 45+ years seen the correct pattern precut panels with the pebble grain you'd mentioned. I have seen correctly cut panels (plain - smooth finish) that have had pebble grain paper affixed to them.
That paper was available from Lebaron-Bonney. Now? I'm not certain who may sell it - if anyone.

The cowl kick panels I'd never seen offered with the vertical indentations. All closed model 1940 Fords had this pattern, not just the deluxe models.
For my restorations, I'd "installed" the vertical indentations.

Here is some photos of the trunk and kick panels in my 40 Deluxe Tudor. I believe they are original to the car. It has 48K miles on it .

The kick panels most definitely are authentic.
The trunk liner appears to be as well. Kind of difficult for me to tell for certain from the photo.

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone have a picture of the cardboard without the spare tire installed? Need to know the location of the cardboard, since will make our own. Thanks
