Default 31 Coupe- Generator Cutout Relay

Original one just about crumbled . Ordered new one from Mac's and it is back ordered. Can I run with wires connected directly to post on generator as long as I disconnect when car is not running? Only doing this until I get the balance of the order.

Yes, just make sure you connect as soon as the engine starts, and disconnect as soon as the engine is turned off.
