Re: 29 Roadster P/U Wiper
Have you two ever thought of using RainX on your windshields, or all glass on your cars? I have never had a car running yet, so I haven't used it, but I have heard many stories of RainX working very well to make the rain sheet-off the glass and not using wipers. Many model A people use RainX and never use their wiper at all. Model A wipers leave something to be desired, as they a pretty fragile - especially both electric wipers and even vacuum wipers.

Re: 29 Roadster P/U Wiper
This is what I did on my 29 roadster almost 30 years ago. Don't remember much but did have to shorten the shaft some. I still use Rain-X.
