Default Head marking identification please

Hi Laa,

i am putting in a motor in one of my rigs, and I noticed it has some markings on the head that i had not paid attention to before. I have no background, other than it's been on this engine for a while and seems to run fine.. Here is a picture. it says A6050, has an Mc in a rounded triangle and a 4 below.. Any idea on the make, model or compression?

Hope the Pic turns out..

Thanks as always! - Dave in Boise

A 6050 is Ford part number for 'cylinder head'. '4' sometimes appears on heads with 'S' which may refer to 'service ' part.

It's aftermarket. If you're not building a fine point car, use it.

It's aftermarket. If you're not building a fine point car, use it. It will work fine although the new Snyder heads, the old BF. heads, or a stock B head will give you better compression and more power.
