Default interior support bracket(spare tire)I.D.

On a Town Sedan('30 Murray), is there an inner body support piece(metal) that runs vertically from the belt rail down to the end sill? When the car was dismantled it did not have one(but other parts/pieces have been 'missing' too). The exterior spare tire mount would bolt to it.
The reason for the question is that I thought I found such a piece, but it doesn't look right(mainly the angles). It was among some Vicky parts, and was told it would fit all sedans. Pics attached. Thanks.

it appears that with a little modification you can make it work
here are two drawings done by Anders Ramberg and published in the Victoria clubs book
seems that the top is different, the victoria has the clip for the seat back and bolts to the face of the belt rail
the sedan has that same area bolted under the belt rail
you should be able to cut the top off and weld a new top on
all the dimensions are here

Thanks Tom. Are those drawings for a sedan? What I have must be for a Victoria(because of the clip at top).

thats correct
the sedan is on the left and the victoria is on the right
the lower dimensions are the same
the only difference is the very top
the victoria has the clip for the seat backrest and screws to the face of the belt rail
the sedan dosnt have the clip and the bracket top is different as it screws under the belt rail

The curve must be different to fit the rear of the body, since the sedan and Tudor slants rearward as it goes up and the Victoria slants forward.

Careful, The Victoria came in two "flavors" Leather back and Steel back. The leather back used the one on the left and the steel back uses the one on the right.

If you are going to modify the one you have, may I have the seat clip?

I'd rather not alter anything. Would rather sell the piece to someone who can use it. Will put it on The Swap Meet when I have a moment. Bruce
