Default E28 Open Vehicle - Floormat

During a recent thread about right hand drive vehicles, Bick posted a photo of an early ’28 open vehicle which clearly showed a rubber floor mat (pyramid vs. starburst pattern) with a rather large Ford script emblazoned on the uppermost center. I am curious if this was unique to the export market or if the script was used stateside as well. Since I have never seen (or read of) this feature, would it have been limited to the ‘very early’ vehicles? The Judging Standards are silent on this feature. It looks like the mat touched the gear shift tower in a neatly formed circle which would help limit dust entering the cab.

Does anyone have a photo of an original ‘early’ floor mat they can post? Closeups of details would be very helpful.

The script was used on very early US cars (November) as well but will not be required for your RPU.

The earliest cars also had a trim ring screwed down around the shifter hole, similar to a round dome light bezel, if I'm not mistaken. Not aware of any kind of seal though.
