Throttle linkage

When I removed the body on my 31 Tudor for repairs I damaged the throttle linkage on the rear of the engine.(i hope I was able to post a picture with this)
I repaired the linkage and am ready to put the body back on. My question is, is there enough room to put it back on with the body on or will I need to put it on before the body?

Put the linkage back on with the body on the frame. You should also check t see that the shims between the engine and the flywheel cover are in place. You should be able to feel the shims. The are installed using the same two bolts that hold the linkage in place.

lesson is: remove it first. So many have been tweaked that eventually you get good at putting them back in shape. Some carburetor issues can be traced back to the linkage.

Honestly I would straighten it and get it working correctly now while you can access it. It's a bugger to get lined up correctly and was one of the more difficult things I've dealt with. The part where the foot knob screws on has to be bent at a radius to the pivot point so it'll move through the floorboards without binding. Add in getting full throttle and the column throttle adjusted correctly and it's tedious to get tweaked correctly.
