Default Sedan dellivery

What is the drop down in the back about? Original? The guy certainly is delusional about the value!

Actually, I think you may be surprised how high that one goes.

It is an original drop floor delivery. This is one of 2 known to excist like this. This may actually be the rarest body style, since there are only 2. sure wish i had the money to own it. I had the pleasure of meeting the guy that owns the other one, and i beleive he owns like 8 deliveries total.

Without naming names, how do you know there are only two? I'm not being critical, just that I recently saw one that is buried. I saw this one on eBay and know of two others. Can you give rough geographical locations, i.e NE, SW, etc. Certainly very rare and possibly very pricy.

well not necessarily only two made, just only two registered in mafca. The guy i talked to that owns one lives in california, which i beleive the one for sale is also in cali. I found out about both of these two years ago, but this is the first time ive seen this one. It is a very very rare car to own. I would love to have it, only if the money was in the bank.

I just checked Lorin Sorensons The Commercial Ford book. First of all it is not a Sedan Delivery as the title to this thread states. Ford made two drop floor models, one being the Drop Floor DELUXE Delivery introduced in May 1931 and having a single rear door with total production of 89 units. The second drop floor model was the Drop Floor PANEL Delivery which had double rear doors.
There were 17 produced very late in 1930 and 1.954 in 1931. As commercial vehicles the Drop Floor Panel Delivery had black radiator shell and black headlight shells. The bodies were by Murray. This data from the Sorenson book that I named above and I hope it clears the air on these bodies a bit.

Many of you have seen the "other" drop floor sedan delivery, it is a burgandy type red and has Howe Safes on its sides. He and his wife were at the Vancouver Meet, his usual ride is a beige AA Panel Delivery, which he has driven over 100,000 mi's since the first restoration.

The seller is just setting you up. How high do you fly?
