1932 3W coupe window stops
Any help on this would be appreciated. I searched the forum but didn't find an answer.
I'm putting in new channels and window regulators, and the kit I purchased came with rubber pads for the window stops in the down position. The structure of the stops is different between the left and right doors. Pic2 shows the right side door, and pic4 is the left side door. The right side has a flat pad with a little ridge on top. It appears that rubber pad will slide into the slot (like pic3), but the rubber pad is perpendicular to the window and this doesn't seem correct. And I'm not certain how it stays in place. The left stop structure has an additional piece with two tabs on it. It's not clear how the rubber pad gets attached. Am I missing a part? Any pictures on how these are properly mounted? Again, thanks for your help!! |

Here's pictures of the window stops in my 5 window; they appear to be the same. As I recall the rubber stops are held in by bending the sides of the holders in to crimp the rubber parts in place. Front stop first; rear second.
