Default Joop's cup and saucer..update..

Just got this from the MARC National:

I have a David L Davis only in 1959.

THERE IS NO MAFCA listing for him according to MAFCA.

So I assume he made them over the coarse of a couple of years, I would also assume them to be quite rare, valuable? Who knows.
But definitely worth keeping, I'll also be keeping my eye out for these in the future.

Either that OR it was some type of memorial to him???

Looks like he was only 30 at the time.

In the absence of evidence to the contrary, I'm guessing David Davis is the name of the potter(y) that made the cup and saucer. It may or may not have any connection to a national club/meet or to the 1959 MARC member. I'd also guess the cup and saucer are a 30-year Model A commemorative, possibly part of a set with the other three years represented. Sets like those often are issued as "limited editions" on a subscription basis. They may or may not be valuable. Whatever, it's a nice collectible for Model A folks.

Steve, I did find him listed in my 1961 MAFCA Roster as living at the same address Downey, CA as Peggy identified.
