How well does it run with the plug wires like that?

Lol. Not so good. That was the day I made new connectors to work on the Thomas head.

These worked a little better.

My 1929 cabriolet, purchased new by my father, was my high school car in the early sixties, finally rebuilt during last five years and on the road again.

FSI ignition, Lion Head, Weber carb, F150 trans, F100 steering, '40 brakes, Mercury wheels. Andalusite Blue as original, not stock in many ways but quite drivable on a regular basis.

Broncojohn,

Was taking the body of your roadster difficult without her bending in the middle? I will be taking the body off my 1928 Standard Roadster next spring for painting. Some years ago I built a body tilter/spit that I have used for several cars when painting. Once the body is mounted it is a doddle to paint. But I have never used it on an open car, so I am curious if you had any "bending in the middle" problems.

Hi Everyone,
Neil from Adelaide, Australia here. Here is my April 1928 RHD Canadian built Tourer ready for the 'Bay to Birdwood Run', the longest running one day point to point old car run in the southern hemisphere (36 years.)
I bought the car a year ago as an older restoration, and work on it has included rebuilding the 7 tooth steering box, totally rebuilding the fuel system, overhauling the distributor and general tidying up. Everthing else had already been restored quite well. I use the car every 2nd weekend and it has been fantastic. Not as quick as my 1966 Cadillac convertible but proabably more fun. I have not joined the local club, but have 'trolled' the Barn for a year and learned so much to help me get this car humming...thank you!
