Default 12 volt

I have changed a 9n ford tractor over to 12 volt alternator.I put on a 12 coil,but it wont hit a lick.Do i need to replace the condenser?It ran fine before.I ran a wire from the battery to the coil,still nothing.Please help!

The coil mounts on the distributor did you change to a adapter ? make sure the spring contact is engaged. Ted
