Bubba,I hope you are reading this.Is the yl a good candidate for a flathead conversion?

Probably not as good as one with vac. advance, but will work.
This is a Mallory made for a Mopar that I converted.---

Yep one of the best based on its small case size and adjustability. Comes in dual and single point and different caps etc.....The marine version uses a flathead crab cap....

51 Merc - like the look of the Chrysler, smaller than the Chevy conversion. It looks like it belongs there. Nice work on the conversion.

The upper point plate can be changed to either dual point or electronic. However i believe due to the rpm band of the flathead your single point is the best available will run more than the rpm needed. These were on boats than run wot all day long.
Leave it single poiint.....

Bubba,I am going to send this dissy to you to sort out.I am going to use a 2x2 intake and a new set of offy heads. I would not let anyone else set up my dissy. CR
