Default The Danger of Craigslist

It just makes you spend more money! A few transmissions and ancillary parts followed me home yesterday, things I don't need but couldn't resist getting. I ended up with two top-loaders, one from circa 1934 the other a '35-ish; two side-shifters, one with open drive and another with closed; plus a bunch of other gears and parts, many of which appear to be for Model A's, though I'm not certain. Sigh ...

I suspect this syndrome isn't limited to Craig's List temptations in your case.

Admiral, With your newly acquired collection, you are now officially a V8er. All true V8ers secretly plan to put on a private swap meet sometime in the very distant future, during which all his friends can marvel at what a great V8er he was.

Don't you just hate it when stuff like that follows you home?

So, I'm official now? I'm so proud to be a member of the club! Also, I like the qualification "very distant future," since we all intend to sell our "junk" someday, just not right now.

If you like craislist, you will really love searchtempest.com. David Frieberger at Hot Rod ruined me by telling me about the site. It covers ALL the craigslists by item, catagory, and distance from your location. It is a grand opportunity to even further overstuff your garage. Ask me how I know, darn Frieberger!

That's like setting a bottle of Jack Daniels out at an AA meeting...... I went to visit my 4 kids who have all migrated to the big city of Seattle last weekend. Of course I looked at CL, just in case and came home with 2 fenders, a grille, 4 7.50x17 tires and a lead on some other jailbar parts.

The red side shift is a 40 ford going by the vent rib. The one to the right of it in the picture almost looks like it has a model B clutch arm
