As I mentioned earlier MSC sells round shank carbide-tipped cutters in .312. .375 & .500 diameters. I have been using them for 20 plus years machining babbitt, bronze, aluminum and cast iron in four different machines and they work great. The link to them is below.

Drop them in and go without having to make changes to anything at all.

Thank you T-head.
MSC was easy to deal with, their tech support answered all of my questions.
They have 5/16 Bits that fit the Kwik-way and 3/8 bits that would fit other boring bars such as the AMMCO. A better choice than re shaping the holes.
I look forward to getting the boring bar up and running.

Glad to help, here is a photo of one in the boring bar of our LeBlond connecting rod boring lathe and below is a photo of the finish you can get by using them. I sharpen them w/an old diamond wheel on top of one of the Van Norman cylinder boring bars but you could put a diamond wheel in anything else you have that spins fast enough.
