Be aware that the original '32 metal trans cover that screws to the floor will not fit the '39 trans without modifying it. Its because one shiftier top leans backwards and one does not. Interesting. Do you recall where you saw that floor plate for the '39 trans?

I first saw them advertised either here on the Ford Barn or eBay? I look at so much stuff it's all a blur!. I just did a search and came up with this ad in Hemmings.

If you look at the two shifter holes you can see the difference of where they are located on a '32 trans and a '39 trans. I don't remember which is which? I had bought an original '32 plate and then discovered it did not fit over my '39 trans. I'm not cutting up an original, I would have to go to therapy if I did that.

The one on the left in the Hemmings photo is for '36 and up shift lever housings. The one on the right in the photo is the stock mid-to-late '32 version.
