If you look at the two shifter holes you can see the difference of where they are located on a '32 trans and a '39 trans. I don't remember which is which? I had bought an original '32 plate and then discovered it did not fit over my '39 trans. The one on the left in the Hemmings photo is for '36 and up shift lever housings. The one on the right in the photo is the stock mid-to-late '32 version.
