Thumbs up Georgia Dumper

Attached are some pictures of the dump truck my Brother-in-law just finished in LaGrange Georgia. Thought I would show the drivers door and how the side mount worked. We think it was originally used as a coal delivery truck.

It does look like a coal delivery truck due to the small door on the side of the tailgate, A coal chute would attach to that to put it in the basement of a house. Some coal trucks had a scissor type lift to get the body up high enough for delivery.

So did this truck have the same 4 cylinder motor as all of the other Model 'A's? There are going to be some huge rooster tails from those back wheels if it is ever driven in the rain.

Nice looking truck!

The trucks had exactly the same engine as the cars. However, the rear end gearing was considerably lower.

Nice double A! are those splash aprons from a Model A P/U? they look a tad long on there. Love the coal box too.

I asked him about the color. His response "Granger Blue..Filterdyne tank blue or one of the 2X Rustoleum Blues". Now you know more than I do.

Probably does need some short splash aprons but those work.

I wouldn't want to follow it on a muddy road with those duals throwing all sorts of stuff.

Hope this answers all the questions.
