Another unbelieveable garage find
Went with a friend last weekend to get his latest purchase located in an old garage in Garland, Texas. It's a 27 T touring. Has been in the same family since new. It is said to be the last T sold in Denton, Texas in 1927. It had sat in a garage since 1963. Had a new 1963 Texas plate and inspection sticker on it. It is a deluxe in that it has plated headlight rims and radiator shell. The wood wheels were pulled off over 20 years ago, refinished, new tires put on and never reinstalled. Engine is not stuck, front axle is all in good shape with no great amount of wear anywhere. Still has portions of pinstripe, original wood floor boards, card board/ grained upholstery panels, side curtains and top which are pretty deteriorated. Only surface/patina rust. The nicest body that I have ever seen, front fenders and running boards are perfect. Rear fenders have some dents. Headlight reflectors are good. Price was too cheap to be believable! Needless to say he is a happy camper!

Re: Another unbelieveable garage find
That is a good find, a survivor for 53 years. I recently bought a 26 Fordor and know the excitement of bringing that home.
Those wheels look pretty good for sitting that long. |

Yes, paint is original green with black fenders. Wheels were refinished a long time ago and never put back on. No top iron rests, as the rubber plugs are still in the body holes, so i guess top has never been down

Re: Another unbelieveable garage find
That is a very neat car, I'm glad to see it get saved! What are your plans with it? I bet it will run great and those tires are probably usable especially since the cars weight wasn't sitting on them. That window sticker reminds me of my 1927 Coupe I just bought, it has a 1967 Texas Sticker because it was just brought up from Texas. Keep us posted on the progress. Great find!!!

Wow, if that was mine I would get it running and drive it as is. They are only original once.
