Default Remove '40 Coupe Seat

Here is how I did it myself without strain. Made a rail rig out of 1" x 7' EMT mounted in holes drilled in 2 by 3's. Secured the EMT in the 2 by 3" with const. screws. Slid the rig in under the seat up against the driveshaft tunnel, other end on shimmed milk crates. Slid the seat out, remove the seat backs as it slid out, and picked up the seat bottom with the chain fall to set it on a rolling cart.
Bolted 3/8" by 3" long bolt through the seat mounting bracket holes as guide to keep the seat on the rail track.

Why do all that when you can just get a helper to grab the opposite side and walk it through??

Great idea! Some people just like to not bothers. This way he can take out and put it back in anytime he wants without inconveniencing somebody else.Easier on the back too.

Excellent Russ! I struggled getting the front seat out of my convertible last year to better insulate the floor. What a struggle! Getting the last cotter pin for the driver seat back in was a challenge too.

We may think easy with 2 people, but it ain't. We are exposing to people to the potential for strain. Slide it out, not strain no pain.

"Leather, saddle tan only, was available but was discouraged by the company. It was suggested to be retailed at $35." DD

I was lucky to get that leather from LB before they folded their tent. Don's Custom Upholstery in Wareham MA did a great job of installing it. Prefer leather to anything else for a seat. Also got a wool headliner from LB also, which Don installed for me also.
