"Rainmaker" Ron's Legacy
I thought I would take a moment and bring folks up to date. In December "Rainmaker" Ron passed. Ron was a legend and Model A restorer, business man and just a kewl dude!
Anyway In 1997 Ron picked up a '31 slant that was in rough shape and began a frame off restoration. Ron named the car the X31 with a custom '31 IL plate. Ron was an inventor and loved to trick out his car for the enjoyment of all! Various gadgets, horns etc which of course were easily removed without damaging the original car. Ok what's the point of all this you ask? Well Ron's X31 has been acquired by a loyal friend. The X31 will be on tour starting this spring. Ron had a unique headlight warning system of his invention and his voice! While Ron has passed, he lives on in the X31. Check it out on our homepage and on the Heartland Model A TG Spring River Bend Tour! https://heartlandmodelatg.wixsite.co...and-model-a-tg Thank-you and happy touring ! |

I think there would be a market for those, especially if the owner could record his/her own message. Can you imagine what some recordings will say?

Re: "Rainmaker" Ron's Legacy
I've been away from the 'Barn' for a few years doing other things and recently stoked my interest in the A's
again. Dragged my coupe out to continue it's resurrection and back eyeing the comments on Fordbarn. I was wondering who would still be around and Ron's absence will truly be felt. It's good to see other familiar folks commenting. |

I love that car! I remember riding in it with Ron when it still had the trick motor... we passed modern cars on the interstate like it was his job. There are so many tricks still in that car, please enjoy!
