Dipstick for my 53' Mercury
The book shows the part number as EAB-6750-A. I have found one but the part number on the stick is EAB-6750-A3. Anyone know what the difference would be? I currently have the wrong dipstick 8BA, which was used for the rear sump oil pan.

I'm not sure what it meant back then, but when I retired from Ford (2013), the number at the end of the suffix designated a different supplier for the same part.

My book indicates that EAB 6750-A, at 19 1/4" long is the correct one for 52-53.

Thank you both for the replays. That clears it up.
The one I found is NOS, so it is a bit pricey. There is a time a place for everything but I am not sure I need a NOS one, so I will search for a used one, if no luck I will bite the bullet. Thanks again for your assistance. Last edited by Merc Cruzer; 10-10-2019 at 11:49 AM. |

I have seen 2 different ones. Mine was was incorrect, showed full @ 4 qts. Think i got the right one from Carpenter. I'll bet Mac Vanpelt would know.
