Default do i scrap this or not? 49 merc front bumper pan

hello all. in these quarentine times, ive been taken time to figure out if some of my parts should make the way to recycling.. This is a 49 Mercury front bumper splash pan that shows damage but could be fixed if needed. I was wondering if this panel could be purchased from an aftermarket company and might be best to melt it. I would like to hear your input on this part. Should i keep or melt? Is there guys still looking for these panels? Thank you all and be safe!

Looks like a good piece to me, I wouldn't scrap it.

Advertise it on Fordbarn, HAMB. It will sell. Shipping will probably cost more than the part but, if someone needs it, it's worth the price. Any 49-51 Merc sheet metal is valuable and rare.

Set up an account and become a HAMBurger.
It's free and has a greater following of folks who love 49-51 Mercs.

Because of the quarantine? #$@! NO. Car guys are going to be stuck at home until the wife kicks them out. Garage time!!! Someone will pay the shipping just to have something to work on.

Don't throw it. There's someone that wants it.
Me personally, I'd try to sell it for a certain time period (maybe 3 months). Then try to give it away for a certain amount of time (maybe 1 month). Then I'd chuck it and not feel bad.

In my opinion never junk an original servicable part. One is destroying a piece of history. Someone out there may need this. I'm in shipping and based on the pics of the size (not sure of the weight) properly packaged to avoid damage this could be shipped via common carrier, i.e. FedEx or UPS anywhere in the lower 48 for in the area of $100, maybe a bit less. Advertise it 1st before destoying.

These are getting harder to find for 49 & 50 Mercs. Someone will want it. Find a good carboard box to ship it in. They should take it as most shippers since they aren't too heavy. With weight, length, & girth dimensions, a person should be able to get a shipping estimate.
