Default 36 Ford How to Lock Drivers Door

I just purchased a 36 Ford Tudor. I have tried pushing back and up on the drivers inner door handle to lock the car from inside. It has not worked. What am I missing? Can someone describe the procedure for locking the drivers door? Thanx...................Burly

Looks like you push the handle forward to open the door.If so, in the position its in, pull the handle up and that locks it.If the spring of the detent is broken it(handle) won't stay up.

Welcome to the Barn! Looks like you got yourself a really nice car! There are lots of people on this site with a lot of knowledge about these old V8 Fords so feel free to ask questions, (and we all love pictures).
