12 volt negiative ground
I have converted my 53 merc engine to 12 volt positive ground. I have been told that Runtz gauge voltage regulators are designed for positive ground applications only. how do I reduce the voltage down to 6 volts on the gauges? I converted to 12 volts in order to use an alternator and Mallory mechanical distributor. does anyone see a problem or a solution? thanks steve

Re: 12 volt negiative ground
Are you sure it's not 12 volt negative ground?

Re: 12 volt negiative ground
Yeah I'm sure you mean 12v NEG ground, just put 12v gauge power wire on the Runtz voltage input side, it is marked in & out, you can test it for 6v coming out before hooking it to gauges. It takes (1) Runtz reducer for each gauge, seperate the gauges, they have to be fed separately.
