Default 1930 Coupe vs. 1930 Tudor Cowl sections...

I was reviewing the August 15, 1930 Body Price List (BPL) and see that the "Panel (cowl and pillar) assembly" for the Coupes has a different part number (A-45258) than the Tudor (A-55258).

Now I had always thought that there was no difference between the Coupes and Tudors within this area of the two body styles. Other bodies which were associated with the Tudor in the BPL were Deluxe Delivery and the Closed Cab.

Associated body styles with the Coupes were Cabriolet, Town Sedans, Std Fordor Sedans, Station Wagon, "A" and "AA" Panel Delivery.

Seems to me that the Tudor Cowl and Pillar sections should of gone with the Coupes....Would they not be the same?

Hmmmmmmmm?

Could it be that the center hinge location on the A pillar higher or lower?

Front edge of the tudor/pickup door is different from the coupe. They won't interchange. Next time at a show measure down from the top of a tudor door to the top hinge. It is 4". The coupe is only 3". The fordor door will fit on a coupe cowl but it ends at the sill while th coupe door extends down past the sill

The A-pillar on coupes is 1" shorter than Tudor and pickup A-pillars.
