1930 Sport Coupe 49 years. I was 13 years old when I got it in 1965. Unfortunately, it is not currently running. 1931 Coupe which I currently drive purchased by grandfather in 1968, then to my mother and dad, then to me. 46 years in the family for that one.

My huckster was a 1929 CCPU in it's prior life. I got it around 1951 when my cousin gave me the frame with a body, front and rear axle and the motor torn apart. Put it together in those days, cut the top off the body, through away the fenders and a few other "useless" items and ran it around my Dad's farm. So about 63 years.

The chassis was "reborn" as my huckster in 2010 when I rebuilt everything and purchased the body from Lentsville A's and put together my current huckster.

My dad bought his A-400 in 1962. I finished restoring it in 1981 and still have it. I last had it out to drive to his funeral. 52 years and counting.

I found the story. His name was Frank Hartmaier and he died at age 97 after owning his 29 roadster for 80 years. He willed it to the AACA Museum in Hershey, Pa. Apparently there was a man who owned a 29 tudor for 68 years, buying it in 38. There was also a guy in Connecticut who had a Rolls Royce even longer. That story was on the AACA forums.

I sold a VW beach buggy that I had built in the late 60's to buy my 130A Deluxe Delivery in 1969. The guy drove the beach buggy away and I brought my Model A home in boxes and baskets.

Wide bed pickup since 1961. It is my heavy hauler. Sure is handy to have around.

My wife has had her '31 coupe since high school (1963), bought with baby sitting money, still drives it. Same year I received a '30 fordor as a gift for graduation from high school. Sold the fordor to buy my'30 cabriolet and '28 roadster pickup in 1968. Still have 'em.

I bought my 28 ccpu in July of 59 , for $20. I was 14. Lots of model A's have passed through my garage in the years since than , but I still have the pick-up. Now I wonder what will happen to the old girl when I'm gone,
I don't think anyone in my family wants to assume the care and upkeep on any of my cars or trucks. It won't be my problem anyway. Gary

Who has the longest continous ownership of their Model A/AA Ford?

That would have to be the guy who bought his first.

I raked leaves, washed windows and other odd jobs for a guy who always told me to get a ford when I got old enough to drive. He said they last forever! Well when I turned 16 in 1963 I bought a 30 coupe and I am still driving her today! JB

I bought mine 2 months ago.

Good to see all the guys who have had their cars for so long. It shows what a great car the Model A is.

I bought mine in 1964 at the age of 14, its a 1929 Tudor Sedan and my first car. I still have it because my Mother told me to never get rid of it. She said all my Father and all his friends wished they still had their first car. I also have a 1915 Ford Model T that has been
in the Family for 64 yrs. I grew up in those cars and still drive them all the time.
I have been cranking the Model T for 50yrs. it was always my job growing up.
