Default what am I doing wrong?

I've been a member of Ford Barn for several years. This last week I have to log on every day with user name and pass word. What's up? Thanks for your help, Bill

This is I think what may have happened; your last post was on 9-29, the system may have logged you out because of inactivity. I have noticed on some sites including this one if you don't open and read every so often it will log you out. Or you cleared your history.

Thanks everyone for your help. Seems like I just gotta log in once or twice a day as others do. It's worth it to be connected to you all, Bill

What Big hammer was referring to in post #2 is the Remember Me box right next to your user name. If you check this prior to hitting Log in you should stay logged in.

Could be your security or privacy settings. If your computer won't accept cookies from sites you visit, checking the "Remember Me" box won't help. You need to make sure the Barn can send a cookie so that your computer is remembered when you go back to the site.

yup, virus scans and cookie blockers can prevent it from working. Had anyone "clean up" your computer lately?

Could be your cookies(or something like them) which hold you passwords, may be deleted every time you get out of FB. I know little about this sort of thing but I know when I delete my cookie, the next time I sign on to an app, it asks me for a password.

I access FB exclusively on my iPad. I find when I clear my browser history I have to login with my user name and password the next time I access FB.

Well, I was going to say that when you clear your iPad browser history, I believe that it also clears any cookies.... but I just had to re-log in and I haven't cleared my history. And I use the iPad nearly exclusively for the Barn. Strange.

It did it again to me, and I haven't erased my history. I'm becoming suspicious that there's something goofy going on with iOS Safari. I might try a different browser, Chrome or Firefox.

Well at this point seems like I may not be doing anything wrong as other folks are having the same problem. Sort of. Thought maybe because my computer is so old, a kids hand me down, it might be going belly up, but at this point I'll stay tuned. Again thanks for for all your help, Bill

Many times, when something strange happens with my computer, I just RE-START it & everything's OK.
Also, when making changes, they may require a RE-START, to make them effective.
