Is there an affordable way, company to ship a car from North Carolina to Iowa? I've gotten a few quotes. The lowest is $1,100.00 and that may be reasonable and as low as I can find. Just thought I would see what others have found.

I suggest asking on the car forum pages, such as Model A or Early V8. You will get a lot more eyes and suggestions. Also try "fordbarn.com car shipping" there have been a number of post on the subject.

They had a tv show not too long ago called “Shipping Wars” in which shippers would try to underbid each other to win a bid to ship just about anything around the country. The only episode I’d seen was to ship this car called the chickenmobile (I think it was an old Pontiac Sunbird with a giant fiberglass chicken attached to the top) from my hometown in Dixon, Illinois for the band members of Mumford & Sons. Apparently, when the band came through town on a tour a year or so earlier, they fell in love with this stupid car that belonged to a local fried chicken restaurant and they wanted to rent it. Hence, the idea for that episode. True story!
