Great that's a fine restoration , i will try and get some pictures on with some questions as well.

I am still trying to work out the trucks past , i seem to have the mounting brackets on the chassis like yours for the crawler gearbox i always wondered what they were ,but the cab floor although rotten in places does not show signs off cut outs where the Snogo controls would be so i always thought she had been a Dump Truck .

My back body is a repo a nice job but the details a not there.

I did find welded up holes in the roof where your spot lamps were.

My Truck has had a hard life so is a real puzzle.

Where do you get front axle parts and steering ends from ?

Chucks Trucks does not show them on his web site .

New tires and still got the shakes .

I ended up breaking down and using another body, the amount of sheet metal work it was going to take to fix my snowgo cab would have taken me forever. I still have all extra parts.

The front axles have some hard to get parts. But maybe the steering parts are the same. I’ll have to look when I get a chance and compare the two.

Chuck is one of the truck guys that really researched and got into restorations on MH converted trucks. He has no parts info on his site for them but he is the go to guy for the old Timken Detroit axles. You might send him an E-mail and let him know your situation and what you may be needing in the way of parts. If he doesn't have it, he may know other sources.

Stripped another wheel down today , this one shows red paint so I thought maybe from a fire vehicle , funny thing is I could find no markings at all on this wheel , my others are have either Ford or Budd markings .
