Default Ammeter problem follow up

I installed a good used original ammeter and all is working as before.
Ammeter runs @ +10 while driving, as did my original one.
Had the Chinese repro checked @ electrical shop and they said it was screwed up and not working correctly.

As always thanks for your suggestions/advice.

I will recommend that all original ammeters should be serviced prior to use. The original design is not intended to last 80+ years. They can get very hot due to resistance in the bridging or the formed fiber frame can warp to create a dead short. Be careful.
