Default Manual windshield wiper

Yesterday I bought a manual wiper at a local swap meet. I need one for my mid 28 roadster and one for my 29 CCPU. I am wondering if all manual wipers are the same - i.e. for both early open cars and 28/29 CCPU's. I am attaching a picture below showing the wiper. As you can see the part that goes through the windshield is 2" long. The wiper blade is 8" long.
Thanks for any help with manual wiper I have.

RG&JS 20-1 Revised 1997

HAND WIPERS
Hand wipers were standard equipment on open cars
through October 1928 and on commercial vehicles
through April 1930. Two different manufacturers
supplied hand wipers to Ford, Trico and Williams.
Both brands used two layers of 1
1/32" thick black or red
rubber in the blade. The Trico blade had the
manufacturer's name and patent dates stamped in block
letters. Blade length was 8" for passenger cars and II"
for the closed cab trucks. Hand wipers were finished
in gloss black enamel with a nickel plated knob and a
nickel plated tubular rivet (7
/32"
head diameter)
holding the blade to the arm. The arm was longer on
closed cab trucks
, 7 3/4" versus 6 1/2"
long on
passenger cars.

I think this is a picture Neil Wilson posted before.

According to the information in this link the standards are going to be changed
concerning the measurements. http://forums.aa-fords.com/viewtopic...t=wiper#p10295

Rusty, here's a picture I took of a Roadster wiper a few years ago when someone else was wondering about measurements. As you can clearly see, the shaft that goes through the windshield frame is significantly shorter than the one you've pictured above.

Thanks to all that responded to my post. Thank you 160B for the Judging Guideline excerpt. Also thank you Bob C for posting dimensioned pictures of the pickup/truck wiper. Randy, thanks for posting a picture of a roadster (open car) wiper. I suspected that since the tubular windshield was narrower than the tube in a 28/29 CCPU, the length of the horizontal part might be shorter. You picture proves it. I will need to start looking for an open car wiper as I now have a CCPU wiper. BTW, Randy, do you have the measurement of the horizontal part of the roadster wiper - I might need to shorten a truck/pickup wiper arm if I can't find an original open car wiper.

I do know that there were 2 lengths of the part going thru the windshield for the Model T - a shorter one for open cars and a longer one for closed, but do not know about the handle length. The first one pictured looks identical to the one in my 1926 T sedan, and I would assume this was a carry-over - BUT not being too deep into the A am no expert. I do know that the longer shaft one was not being reproduced and was harder to find for my cay.

Rusty, here's another picture taken a while back. Guessing it was kind of hard to measure from the rounded corner and that the measurement shown was from the start of the bend.
