Default 52 Flathead Radiator

My original 52 Radiator is shot and cost to re-core is way out of my budget.
What radiator would be a good one to use?

A re-core is 3 times as expensive than a chinese aluminum radiator, but will last 6 times longer.

Hi; I just had to order from Brassworks-3 week out build for $900+ after some twenty-yr -old workers in a local radiator shop ruined both the top and bottom tanks of my '48 Ford radiator. ugggh Newc

This is what I bought and it seems to be good quality so far.

Champion radiator worked for my 52 F1 for many years. Well made and did the job. Not stock looking but a flashy polished finish.
I would love to buy USA products but can't afford most of them anymore. Sad indeed! Chap

When I ordered my radiator from Brassworks a couple of years ago they were 7-8 weeks out. Don't know if business is slowing or if Lou was finally able to get more qualified help. He told me getting good help was extremely difficult back then. They aren't cheap but excellent radiators, IMO.

US Radiator in Vernon, Ca. (near Los Angeles):

Quality built radiators. Excellent service, used them for a stock 47 - all new, looked
like original.

Rick's Radiator, also in southern Cal, he is a dealer for US Radiator. Also does recoring,
cleaning etc. Great guy to work with. Fair, honest.

I just ordered a new one from Shoebox Central for my 53 Merc. It's supposed to be a direct fit. Cost $700 + $50 shipping.

US Radiators are a great build, cool well, good service and good quality. Looks OEM and you can choose your personal options. Highly recommended. I am very pleased as it keeps my A/C equipped ARDUN cool in hot weather
