Understanding the change from the 170-A to the 170-B
This pertains to the understanding of the 1929 170-A to the 1930 170-B Standard 2-Window Fordor Sedans.
Is the BODY only on the 1929 170-A 2-Window Fordor Sedan the same BODY as that of the 170-B 2-Window Fordor Sedan excluding the change in front and rear fenders, splash aprons, running boards, hood and grill? Or was the 170-B body a new and revised/updated body going into 1930? One source tells me the following:"Production of the 1929 Model A (standard) Fordor Sedan (170-A) continued into 1930 (as 170-B Standard) and, in May 1930 received an upgrade interior and cowl lights (170-B De luxe)". Is this statement missleading or what? Thanks. Pluck |
