Default Generator rebuild parts

Anyone know where to get a new armature for a 6v generator on a 1949 F-1 flathead v8?

I believe that they are the same as the pass cars. Should be fairly easy to find. Don't know where you are located but C&G Ford shows them.

I used NOS one in our 33,BUT they would throw a wire out of the commutator sometimes ,( Our 33 does lots of miles), the best fix was to get the armatures rewound, no problem since.

The issues with Pre 01A 2 brush armatures is that you have to set the regulator to max 28A or they melt the solder...
You keep it under 28A and they seems to work just fine.
The 8BA armatures seldom have that kind of issues.
