Default They're still out there waiting to be found!

"Homer" the barn find. They are still out there waiting to be found and brought to their "forever home".

These photos were taken this morning celebrating Homer's homecoming after hiding in a barn for 66 years. Bought in central Texas from the original family owner with 38,000 miles showing on the odometer. Based upon the engine number it is an October 1929 AA and has the newly introduced 4-speed transmission with a high speed rear axle. The only thing missing is an outside sunvisor which can be easily obtained. It still has all the original tools and jack under the seat, along with the usual supply of mouse droppings. A friend in my local Model A Club bought it and has been lusting after my AA for 25 years - he finally found one and it's a "keeper". He plans to clean it up but not restore it - the patina of one like this will make it a showstopper. Lucky find!

There are 16 photos posted on my Facebook page of this beauty.

Finding something like that would be like winning the lottery. How come neither has happened to me?

Nice find. That's great that it will be left as is because it should be good for original details not found on restored trucks and cars.

It does look like a worm drive, so I'm not sure how high speed it will be.

Nice "AA" !
So happy that you are going to leave it, "as found".
A treatment of GIBBS OIL will make it look even better. It will bring out some of the original paint, that you can't see.
Great going,
MIKE (mikeburch)

Hopefully crosscut posts if not search his name and you will see pics of a very similar clone that he left alone, just some johnsons wax on the body.

yea "high speed" is rather misleading, your looking to putt around 35-40mph. Low speed like 25 tops haha. Either way in granny low you will be able to drive up a tree.

COOL truck. The unrestored AA I had was a really fun Model A.

AAAHH!!! I don't think I can bear to see another beautiful AA that has the patina as artfully preserved as Crosscut's.... I could go blind, criminally insane, or someday FORCED to find a similar AA. Thanks guys.

Oh. BEAUTIFUL truck! Enjoy it in good health!

I'm ok. My wife thinks I'm a little weird though, looking at pictures of old trucks instead of...you know... well - I think she's ok with that and maybe relieved. But she still thinks its weird.
