Model A 1928 Leatherback

I am working on restoring a 1928 Model A leatherback that belong to my parents. I received a top wood kit from Classic Wood. In the kit is 2 blocks about of wood 4"x1.25"x.375" and 2 blocks of wood about 12"x1.25"x.375". Can someone help me with where these blocks of wood go.

Go to YouTube there is an excellent posting called "Restoring 1928 Leatherback town sedan" or close to that . You should see where these parts go as they tear the car right down and replace all the wood . Really very informative and excellent craftmanship for sure .

Thanks, I have watch the restoration videos. They do not show the extra wood pieces. They are great videos. I have watched them several times.

Could not remember any wood like that inside my '28 leatherback. Wish I had taken more pictures when no upholstery was on the inside. It is all finished now and do not remember any pieces like that. Could be part of the rear tire mounting assembly.

Only 3/8" thick is the part I'm wondering about. I'm not a bodyman, but the only thing that comes to mind is the wood blocks used under the hood latches, but even those I think are thicker.

These 4 small blocks cam with the the top wood kit. The blocks that hold the hood latches are different. Thanks for the input.

These may be the blocks of wood that go between the two doors. There is wood above and below the metal piece that attaches the front seat to the door posts.

Maybe if you contacted Classic Wood, they could explain what and where these wood pieces go.
