First off , I am not sure if my pictures are politically correct here at the Barn ?
Purchased this past year. FH and 3spd where rebuilt not many miles ago. Suspension rebuilt , lowered . I changed the front spring and raised the front 1 3/4”. It goes good. Fun to drive.

Wiring harness is bad, really bad. I just received a complete new Cloth 12V harness from Bauer Electronic, Chris Olsen. Very nice product. Got the Dash out today.
Questions:

Window Crank, when closing at the end of travel. Gear wants to slip. Think I have located and new gear. Do you guy use new Rivets on gear , or bolts ?

Dome light wires. Glove box, up A post to switch on B post . And light to light across the roof. Have you guys been successful in snaking / pulling new wires with Headliner in ?

T/Y. Stretch

That perty car is about as far from politics as you can get! Bigs and littles and dual carbs forever!
Never heard of Bauer Electronics? Is this a harness specifically for a ‘39? If it is, it would be 6v, which will work for 12v also, but not the reverse. I’d suggest the use of 6v wiring, to simplify a time in the future you might like to switch back to original.

T/Y men. It’s a Cloth 12 Volt harness. Adding turn signals, and Fogs.
Chris included for possible future use. Wires for pusher fan, elec fuel pump, 3rd brake light.
Hot wires, grounds , voltage reducers for dash gauges and heater.
, bulb sockets for heads , tails & turns, new headlight switch, USB charger in dash harness, fake wires to Voltage Regulator…..
So complete I should not have to order any harness parts , all came in one box.

Those dome light wire are usually secured to a headliner bow or such, but you may fish a new wire in from the dome light to the edge of the upholstery. Newc

Newc, yes neighbor and I could barely wiggle the wire, but no shot of pulling original wire. Gots to go hardware store in morn. Get a roll of mechanics wire to fish with.
Still like to hear from someone who has successfully rewired with headliner in . Think I may be barking up a very high tree

The picture was taken, about '50, on my grandfathers farm in AR (He and I are on the left). I don't remember but, most likely a chicken hawk.

nomad; Your 39 is a beauty. Well done. Take plenty of photos and notes regarding old wiring BEFORE you remove it and as you remove it.

Bauer Electronics is located in the area of Bend, Oregon. They make harnesses for Model As, V-8s, etc. They make an excellent harness and will custom build them for turn signals etc. They have been in business for at least 10 years and maybe longer. Many of the parts suppliers for early Fords sell their harnesses.
