Now we want to see more. Keep those pics coming please. Are you in Florida or Wisconsin for this endeavor?

Re: 1939 coupe project
Doesn't look too bad. I still have not removed the 50 year old fiberglass/bondo repair on my 37 coupe to see what remains of the original panel. I can see a bunch of sheet metal screws on the inside from someone else's "repair" attempt. What shape is the tool compartment floor in? Mine won't hold water for sure.

Re: 1939 coupe project
In Wisconsin for body and frame work. I will bring it to Florida next October for interior and wiring. Hope to have it on the road by next Christmas. Engine and trans are ready.

Re: 1939 coupe project
Just love those 39 & 40 coupes. That one looks better than a lot I've seen. It will take plenty of work but its worth every bit.

Re: 1939 coupe project
The frame showed signs of damage with decent repair and tube shocks but sat a little low on one side. knowing I was going with a t5 I decided to go with a aftermarket chassis. The plan is stock look, stock trim and wheels..
Before I get bumped off the Barn I want to give a shot out to Ol'Ron for introducing me to a Merc intake with Rochester 2g. I have used this setup on two other builds. Makes for a great setup for a mild flathead. |

Re: 1939 coupe project
That is a good looking chassis. It should ride and handle great!
