1923 roadster door
i am having to rebuild my inner door and there wasn't anything left of where the latch is mounted. could someone tell me the distance from the top of the door down to where the latch mounts. thanks, gary

You should check into purchasing the door wood. The wood framing is what will shed some light for you on where the latch is placed. Door wood kits are available and they aren't too expensive. There is a bit of a cut out in the outer skin that also gives an idea where it fits to make contact with the catch in the body frame.

There should be an upset in the metal where the latch fits. It is approx 3-1/8" to the center of the top screw.

(And yes i hate it when people just flat out won't tell you any dimensions even though they could. That's why my cars rear won't fit any panels from stock-storebought cars) ..Ok i'm back from measuring and i couldn't find any 25-earlier doors. (wonder where they went?) But i did find a 26 door. It was 67 mm. And now it won't let my post picture proof.
