Re: brakes
Speed bleeders make it very easy.. To make them better you can take those front linings from the B/B MT kit and get them done again , IF yours where the same as mine from them the linings where barely just over 1 3/4" I had them done again locally here to a full 2" the linings would be better too I bet.
Also dont push the pedal all the way to the floor when bleeding [ single cyl Master]

Re: brakes
Self bleeders are a big waste of money and you can still do it yourself. Very simple.
Instead of putting the airline tubing in an empty catch can, put it in a bottle of 3/4 full brake fluid. Now you can do the same thing as a self bleeder and you won't suck air into the system. |

Re: brakes
Speed bleeders are still a waste of money because they won't prevent air from traveling in between the threads either. Only a manual two person bleed would prevent this as you indicate, pump and hold method.

Re: brakes
I have never had a problem with "Speed-Bleeders" on the 3 cars I have them on. You guys must be doing something wrong.

Re: brakes
The point is you don't need them. You can do the same thing with standard bleeders when you submerge the other end of the airline tubing in brake fluid. They are a waste of money, that's the point. You can coat standard bleeders if you want, just wrap the threads with Teflon tape. Much better than a coating anyway.
