JAKE; Did you put a NEW cap on the oil fill input tube ( at the fuel pump ?? ) something is building pressure inside the crank case area, maybe pull the fuel pump stand and clean the area, in the pump stand and in the intake area, as much as you can reach.... is blow-by building ? try running with the cap off the oil fill, pull the sparkplugs and put a good amount of "MARVEL MYSTERY OIL"in each cylinder, and let it set for two, three days. put plugs in and fire it up, it will smoke like mad, but run it good...could clear up some pluged rings and less blow by, less pressure in the lower end ?? Hey what else you got to do ?? ... OLD....BILL

Thanks Bill. That's the kind of info I wanted to hear right now. I'd like to try some easy home remedies before I have to start tearing things apart. I'd rather be driving it right now. Yes, I put a new oil fill cap on it. I even looked at it good the other day thinking that might be a problem.
