backing plates
I have 2 sets of backing plates that I need to find out about.
one has just a cam adjuster and a fixed anchor while the other set has the cam plus adjustable anchors. What years are these and do they take different brake shoes? Thanks, Art |

Re: backing plates
If we're talking early Fords, the ones with the adjustable anchore are early and the ones with fixed anchors are late, think of pre and post ww2, I'm not sure when the switch was made.
Early ones 39-4? late 4?-48 Th brake shoes are different, early have a round anchor hole, later have a Oval hole with 2 flats. Mart. |
