Default need a rear main cap

Help I need a rear main cap for my model a engine. Mine broke on one end. So if anyone out there might have an extra cap that they would not mind parting with. For a nominal fee I sure would appreciate a PM. I have been looking all over for one. Sorry for posting here if i am not suppost to. Richard/Ca

I'd call Bert's in Denver. There is also a guy in Oregon I think that sells them with new babbit. I don't recall his name, but a search here might turn up the threads about his caps.

the Oregon guy, Bill Barlow, will re-babbitt YOUR caps. You have to submit 3 good caps. If your rear main cap is damaged you would have to source one somewhere else.

Put the word out with your local club. There is always at least one guy in each local club that has a stash of parts, or so it seems.
Try the Swap Meet section of this forum.

Also try the engine builders known on the Barn....AER, Schwalms, James Rogers, Brent, H&H, J&M machine, etc

Bill may sell you a cap outright, I would inquire.
