Given the quarantine situation I’ve been at work pretty much non stop. Our parts sales business staying steady and strong thankfully, and in the last week I gotten a lot of bigger rebuild jobs completed that have been awaiting, and a pile of distributors restored/rebuilt. Attached some photos of a few projects. What are you guys currently working on?

working on fenders for a 52 truck and a 48 truck, cleaning up parts for my 41 1/2 ton panel. and fixing an aw sh!!t on a 221 motor--previous builder left out the oil gallery plug

A comment to nelsb01. I just finished assembling a 1935. For whatever it is worth, I bolted the battery ground strap to the motor mount near the brake return spring. The starter worked a lot better than when it was attached to the clam shell bolt. (It still wasn't too great but it was better). Jim in San Jose

When originally re-assembled by me, about 500 years ago it seems, I was just following the pictures and documentation that I had. And what the 1935-1936 Ford Book that the EFV-8C published stated.
Of course, I should have mentioned that the transmission didn't leak until I put gear oil in it.
But everyday is a new adventure. And it starts when you get out of bed.

I have an old farm house that has plenty of opportunities for projects both inside and out. I think I also need to put together a shopping list for Third Gen to make headway on the car project since there won't be any swap meets any time soon.

Working on several Holley NH's for rebuild and hope to get the 26 back together and running soon. Driving the 39 lately as the weather has been good, but that snow melted right away today eh Mark.

Our whole country is in lock down but as a medical practitioner I am considered essential and get to go to work every day and try and fight this virus.

A lesson learned from Italy it is now believed that the reason it spread so rapidly there is that when people got unwell they all went to the Doctor and infected others in the waiting room . For this reason most of primary care consultations in this country are now virtual email, phone or video . A weird way of working and strangely exhausting as without the normal visual clues you have to really concentrate .

Disassemble,,paint stripper,,,sand,,,repair,,,sand some more,,,bleach,,,toner,,then,,,Brush on Varnish ,,lightly sanding between every other coat...
I'm happy with it......����

Thank you- I am petrified most of the day. In reality the only thing that keeps me at work is that I'm more scared of letting my patients and my colleagues down by not being there than of getting this thing (although some days its a close race LOL) . The personal protection gear is a really uncomfortable to wear which makes things that much more difficult.

On a good note (I think) i'm still tracking the miss in the 34. So something to do to take my mind off things in the evening -Karl

Karl....I've read your last few postings somewhat in awe, and with the utmost in admiration for several aspects of what you are giving, and putting-up with. It's truly unfortunate that some folks really don't seem to grasp the unprecedented severity of this situation. I think that YOU would be the first to agree that it is those that want to downplay or minimalize this mess that are the very ones that have caused it to reach the current proportions. Hello Mike,
I bought a different (longer) ratio from your ebay shop (Raffay924special). Do you have maybe a good documentation how to change it correctly?
I have a 1940 Ford Deluxe.

Rear ends on these early fords are quite different to set up compared to a modern rear. As you can see in the photos I set them up on their sides. I have another rear to do next week so maybe I will shoot some photos and type up something on here (it would be long). Ironically it will be a 40 rear getting 3.25 gears

I have been working on cabinetry for the grocery store remodel. Only show in town on this island (rock)of 6000 people. They are selling stuff like crazy so I am busy. My son and I worked a 12 hour day because they added 6 plexiglass sneeze guards to our schedule today. Good folks to work for and happy to be working from home. The woodshop is about 100' from the house. Best of all I snuck in an hour today getting the cummins engine ready to pull from the 'death trap' and get installed into my 47 ford tonner pu. Things are moving in that direction.

I am a customer and have been to Micheal's shop 3 times. I can tell you their service is fantastic and he does amazing work.

Fortunately for now, our (Oregon) governor for now is being pragmatic and allowing business that can maintain a "social distance" of 6 feet to keep operating. So we are continuing but limiting direct customer contact. (Bob Drake is in the same state, and also continuing).


Today's project is to weld up the steel reinforcing for a fiberglass 1932 roadster cowl, a customer is replacing one that was burnt.
