Do we know for sure the cup/saucer has a connection to a National Meet or club? And do we know that David Davis commissioned it or received it as a gift/award? It could be the name of the potter with '61 being the date of manufacture and '31 being the Model A year represented. If that's true, it may have been part of a set with the other three years. Or it could be a 30-year commemorative.
