Column shift arm removal 1941
All,
Can someone walk me through the steps to remove and refit the steering column gear selector arm (P/N 7202) on my 41? I'd also like to replace the rubber sleeve. Is it simply a matter of removing the retaining pin, or does it require additional steps? Any assistance appreciated. |

Tap the pin on both side and lube it up. They stick over time and some you got to work it back and forth s few times with a punch. After it moves in with little effort, you have to hold both sides in at the same time while wiggling and pulling the lever at the same time.

There is a spring and two steel cups in there so be careful when pulling it apart. They can come flying out and hit you or go places where you can't find them.
