Is it 5 quarts of oil when you have an oil filter?

Re: Oil change?
Six on initial fill. Or just add the filter capacity.

Drain oil, fill the first 4 run the car/prime and top up as needed.

Re: Oil change?
Using an oil filter and a K&N air filter will keep your oil clean for several months.

Re: Oil change?
If you just drain the oil, the old oil will stay in the dipper tray so you still only need 4 qts. The dipper tray does not drain unless you have one with holes or have drilled holes.

Re: Oil change?
Adding 5 1/2 QTs on a refill seems about 1 too many, maybe after the pan is off and cleaned.
