Is there any way to repair the bend Radius Rod

My phone is dead but i think you can see the problem. I really don't want to track down another rear. I tried bending the rod but they don't have much meat to them and it began to crush. I guess i need to heat it.

Are you talking about the bent radius rod? Unbolt them both, straighten them and refit them. If they don't want to go on you ought to determine if the torque tube is square to the axle. This might be possible with a good tape measure and careful measuring.
The holes in the radius arms could be carefully filed to ensure a good fit. They should not put things in a bind though.
If you go to advanced you should be able to edit the thread title.

Proper way is to heat and shrink the outside until it is straight. Bending it back into place will make it too long as the outer edge is stretched. That will put a load on the assembly and try to make it not square. If the driveshaft tube was unbolted and then refastened, the rear end would not be square. Doing it correctly is better.
Beating it into submission will be quicker.

The car that rear end was in took a big hit on the right rear or was T-boned on the right side to bend that radius rod that way. It will be simple to straighten the rod and maybe add a small stiffiner to the bent area.
You should be more concerned about the alignment of the 2 axle housings and the torque tube. Also look for hidden damage INSIDE the housings, like broken gear teeth, bent axles, cracked hubs, bent spring hangers etc etc.

I disassembled a couple of rear ends, and you can have a radius rod for the shipping charge....one had brake lines and one did not, but rods look straight..

If I did not have the offer of a free radius rod I would definately straighten it. I might try to straighten it cold in a press but if it looks like it is going to collapse or kink I would heat it. You may have to heat it and bend it back one little section at a time to get it right. With heat and patience you can make it straight again.

I did not see where he mentioned what year rear end he has there in the fog, but the radius rods look like '37-'40s. If yours are earlier or later, or '35-'36 .....the '35/'36 mount differently, plus serve as the rear spring mounts. Earlier or later will likely be too short. DD

It appears to be a 39-40 because of the E brake cables.

This most often happens as someone had raised the car at that (bent) point. I have straightened many of these with great results. I do place them in a press. It takes patience (and a long straight edge) to do it correctly. I can't imagine "beating" this into place. Yikes... that's one heck of a big hammer!
Also, you can't stretch this rod and make it "too long". If you overcompensate during the straightening, it will again become "too short".

37 had cables running from the backers to the rods. 36 had the rods coming straight from the rockers i believe.

I'm with Floyd on this method. However you could repair it as Kube mentions since the outside stretched material would be fairly minimal.

We get this often where hours are spent fixing an old ford part that is not at all in short supply in much of the country. Perhaps it is the challenge, but never thought of PA as being like that. If out west, I'd give him a straight pair just to clear the clutter. When buying a rear axle, we often get the rest of the hardware as it rolled out from under the donor. The OP doesn't want to "track down another"? As Sponge Bob says, "good luck with that". Fred A

We don't have very much to work with, but this radius rod, if for any '37-'40, is the same. '41 or 2 thru '48 the same. How tough can it be? Give us a hint paetsgone. Inquiring minds: Fred A
