Tunes
Tunes I know some of you are like me, the Ultimate ride is summer crusing with windows down and tunes blasting on the radio! What is the best way to do this in a model A with six volts? l was out with the A today 18 degrees, The cold did not keep my fun meter from peaking!

Re: Tunes
Here's the 6 volt radio I use.
I also use Bluetooth - but that's strictly for the car phone (in the second picture). |

Re: Tunes
You can buy an adapter from 6v to 12v puts out enough to operate a radio. Macs should have them

Re: Tunes
One of the advantages of converting to 12 volts is that you can readily buy a radio and install it in your A. I have 3 As, all on 12 volts but a radio only in one (not counting the CB in the car we go outback in). I record my favourite music on a memory stick and let 'er rip. It is also Blue tooth capable. Best of both worlds!

Re: Tunes
Be sure the test any device that purports to convert six volts to twelve. Less costly units won't have the filtering required or maybe shielding so tend to be "noisy" for purposes of audio and introduce a lot of hash or static to whatever it is you're trying to listen to.

Re: Tunes
If I had thought about it earlier, I probably would have changed to 12volts. After installing 6 v led lights, the generator acted up. Went to alternator and this weekend will install 12 volt step up power supply for gadgets.
